The Complimenter

Sometimes we say things that shouldn't be said at all.
A lapse in our judgment leaves us with a bad call.
Words are then spoken without feelings involved.
Making people feel lesser, like nothing at all.

But that's not how it Should be...Tearing people down.
That's completely wrong, it's the other way around.
Our words are our power, they can change and create.
They can build up a friendship to become something great.
They can heal injured souls of their anger and hate,
or calm worried minds with too much on their plate.

Now, our words turn to actions that lead to our fate,
because words; once they're said, are hard to negate.
But kind words; once said; are followed by good.
They help the worried mind go from "I can't" to "I could."
A compliment to a stranger takes 3 seconds of time.
But the blessings that follow are truly sublime.

So make it a challenge to say something great.
Be known as “The Complimenter" not the angry classmate.
Go out and do it, there is no time to wait,

the world is full of plenty who only know how to hate.
